Glen Schachowskoj

Partner, Executive Producer, Head of Content Development

Glen started the Animation Brewery in 2005 with Stu Wenschlag. After graduating from Sheridan College he quickly became known as a well-oiled animation machine in high demand at the studios around Vancouver. He worked at various studios such as Natterjack, Bardel, Delaney & Friends and acquired some excellent experience which led him to various positions across the country including the now defunct games company, Graymatter in Toronto. Eventually, Glen wound up in Halifax where he partnered at a successful animation company and established himself as a key figure in the rise of the East Coast animation scene of the late 90's. Some of his project highlights included a series of commercials for Rainbow Fish, The Oblongs, Milk Maritime, Freaky Stories (DECODE/YTV), Atlantic Film Festival Sponsor Role Call and Talking to Americans (CBC).

Glen is especially concerned about solid writing and good stories. He is pitching several series concepts in various stages of development and is actively seeking broadcasters for further development. Glen has a great depth of understanding of the animation industry in Canada and our tax credit system. A memory like a steel trap can be a blessing and a curse - just ask him! Glen is the go-to contact for Animation Brewery's content creation side and is always seeking distributors and broadcasters interested in a project pitch. He is multi-platform friendly, aware of demographics, and keen to listen to broadcasters' objectives for programming slots. Constantly in touch with the latest trends in new media, Glen is ready for new directions and new solutions.
